I had been wanting to do a series of more lifestyle documentary sessions and specifically was dreaming of doing one in a skate park. Enter: Craig, Liz, and Benjamin.

Read MoreFirst of all, deep breaths! That’s survival tip #1. Though breathing is actually super beneficial, I know it doesn’t solve all your thwarted wedding plans due to coronavirus. If you need to postpone your wedding/celebration because the people on your guest list are your rocks and you want them a part of your day - YOU do YOU. I know making decisions about your wedding is not an easy task right now and there is so much to consider. Put your number one priority first, whatever that may be for you. I have created 4 options for considering how to proceed with your 2020 wedding.

This was a sweet little ditty that hummed the tune of Nick and Allison so perfectly. So, yeah - I needed tissues again…
Read MoreHow sweet it is to document the sweetness before baby enters this world. Maternity sessions are one of my favorites to shoot. It embodies how beautiful and powerful a woman’s body is. It captures the peace and wonder (and all 234,554 other emotions) that happen during pregnancy.
When we took these photos, Nick and Jenora were expecting their first little one, a boy named Theodore. We met at Marian Bear Park for these photos in June (I was 39 weeks pregnant!) and Jenora was due in July. It was my first time meeting these two and I was so incredibly in awe with how sweet they were. They are so cute together. They brought such a strong peaceful vibe to this session and after we started talking, I started to get a sense of how excited they were to meet their son. I could tell already they were going to be amazing parents.
This session was so sweet and what a great way to document the wait for Mr. Theodore. Stay tuned to see that precious little face.
Neal and Christina made the trek down to San Diego to hangout in a neighborhood they really like and visit the spots that they would normally love having dates and hanging out. It was actually kind of hard to decide where we were going to go, because North Park has SO many great options for hanging out, getting drinks, and exploring.

Read MoreI loved watching this day unfold. As soon as I got to the venue, Phil and his groomsmen were the first to greet me with big smiles and a warm welcome. Next was Rita who was busy getting her hair done, but gave me the most excited and joyous greeting. Their happiness was contagious and I was planted right in the middle of it all. (Seriously, I love my job).
Read MoreFast forward to these two getting married. I knew from the day that I met Michael and Jennifer that this was going to be one of my favorite weddings to shoot. I loved how they envisioned their wedding from the start. Modern and minimalistic details. Using all greenery + plants instead of flowers. A gorgeous hotel with a unique detail of doing a ceremony around a pool. (The pool which later became the second dance floor.) A special duo mother-son and father-daughter dance and instead of a cake cutting they opted for a donut feeding and a special toast with a beer they brought back with them from their travels…
Read More100 year old school house, the family dog adorned in flowers, and a dance floor full of happy hips - pretty much sums up this epic day start to finish. Though there were some pretty incredible details in between that I can’t leave out. Like the amount of times that someone was lifted up by either the groomsmen, bridesmaids, or bride and groom or Megan having a first look with all three of her brothers and her dad. Though, my favorite detail of the entire day was the ring warming.
Read MoreMy favorite sessions are the ones that I feel like I’m just hanging out with two good friends. Matt and Megan have that presence about them. Two incredible people down for a good time and making you feel part-of-the-group. We spent this little endeavor laughing, talking (mostly about) tv shows - SYTYCD and World of Dance fans over here, and I got to know them on a whole new level. This sweet little evening session brought me to know that I love them (not that I doubted I would) and their relationship.
Read MoreIt seems like in-home sessions are hitting a major trend these days and I’m not mad about it one bit. Generally speaking, your home is where you are the most comfortable and yourself. It’s easier to relax and it shows a side of you that sometimes isn’t easy to find in outdoor sessions. There’s character and warmth and so much intentionality behind doing a shoot in your home. (Don’t worry, I know how hard you worked to get that home clean for photo-worthiness).
Read MoreEveryone loves a good Beyonce shout out, am I right?! I've been all about using Beyonce song titles as my punch lines lately. These two would be the screaming definition of crazy in love if I've ever seen one. Their connection was undeniably electrifying. I've never seen two humans so magnetized to one another in my life and it had me smiling ear to ear when I walked away after our time together.
