I had been wanting to do a series of more lifestyle documentary sessions and specifically was dreaming of doing one in a skate park. Enter: Craig, Liz, and Benjamin.

I have known Craig and Liz for years and actually shot their wedding in 2016! I knew they are both into various board sports and Craig skates frequently so I asked them if they would be open for a concept of a shoot like this. They were totally up for it.

Since I shot their wedding they’ve had another special milestone in their lives. They welcomed their first son Benjamin into this world and their little ham joined for photos and his first skate park experience. We had a blast, played around and covered some ground in that skatepark which was so fun.

I loved doing a more action filled session like this and would be so down for more and more of these to come. Also, special shout out to Norm! Liz’s dad who came for a bit to hang out with Benjamin while I was taking photos of just Craig and Liz.
