Sunset Cliffs Family Session

This Sunset Cliffs family session was so special. Rather than “family sessions”, really, I prefer to call shoots like this a “day in the life” session. These photoshoots highlight more of what a family is like when they are all together, and all the sweet relationships and fun personality quirks within the family. I love how day in the life photos showcase a family in (or close to) their natural element. These sessions allow them to focus on just enjoying each other’s company, rather than looking perfect and posed. The result is more authentic captures!

This entire session took place in the back of their truck, which I am just so here for. We decided on Sunset Cliffs in San Diego because it’s a classic Southern California photoshoot location that offers just the prettiest ocean views and the most gorgeous sunsets. I live for the golden hour light that washes over everything at the end of the day. 

This family was so incredibly fun to hang out with. They ate pizza, made jokes, laughed, loved on each other, and really just had the best time ever. I think these family pictures perfectly capture the humor, the love, and the spunkiness that each family member possesses. 

I am always so honored to capture moments between families that they will never forget. These are such positive core memories for the children, and I am eternally grateful that I am able to give them these memories in permanent form.
